INSULATION

Attic Insulation:
The Energy Star standard for attic insulation is 18” high. If you do not have 18” of attic insulation you are spending too much money on heating and cooling your home.  An average insulating job can save you as much as 20% on your heating and cooling bills.

Watry Homes LLC can insulate your attic for $1495 on an average size attic (80% of homes fall into this category).  On the very large homes it may cost as much as $1995 to insulate your attic.

This insulation job includes the following:

- We will blow cellulose/fiberglass insulation in the entire attic to increase the R-value to about an R-60. 
- We will install baffles for proper venting around the entire perimeter of the attic.
- We will build a foam box above your attic access panel to prevent heat loss at the entrance of your attic.  This is a very important step and one that is skipped by many insulators.
- We will build foam walls around all necessary areas in your attic (lights, vents, etc.)
- We will verify to make sure there is proper venting in your attic to prevent frost and ice dams in the winter.
- We will clean up everything.  You won’t even know we were there.

Wall Insulation:
Watry Homes can also insulate your exterior walls either from the inside or the outside of the home.  Homes built prior to 1960 may not have any insulation in their exterior walls.
